EAYA is the East African Youth Alliance. Its the consortium of youth organisations and groups all over East Africa. These groups have come together for a common goali.e. Networking and resource utilisation.

EAYA was founded in the year 2000 after youth representatives from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania came together and decided to form a front with similar goals. They decided to create a secretariat to network on their behalf and to handle most of their programs for them.

EAYA is the East African region representative (Chapter) of the Global Youth Alliance, with its International headquarters in the United Kingdom. The Global Youth Alliance (GYA) was founded in October, 1996 at the state of the world forum held in San Francisco. The forum brought together young people from 29 countries, who decided to come up with a grassroots, global network seeking to connect individuals and organisations sharing in a wide scope of areas.
